When you choose to advertise, there are many mediums. You can go with TV, radio and print ads and get lots of exposure for your business. But are you getting tons of leads from this? Probably not. When you advertise this way, you are spedning a lot of money and your advertisement is going out to EVERYONE. That means tons of people are hearing your message that have absolutely no need for your service. It’s money flushed down the drain.
When you choose direct mail marketing, however, you are only targeting the people that want and need your services. This is done with advanced data. Take loan modification, for example. I see ads on tv for loan modification all the time, but I don’t pay attention at all. I don’t need one. But with direct mail, you can get the right data and only advertise to those homeonwers know desperately need this service. Here is a good example:
- homeowners who are upside down on their mortgage
-homeowners who bought their house within the last 6 years
-homeowners who are in an adjustable rate mortgage
-homeowners who have a balance of atleast $200,000
-homeowners who are late on their mortgage payments by atleast 30 days
The list goes on and on…This can be done with any type of business. For insurance leads you can target married males who make a certain amount of money per year and have children. The people who need life insurance to protect their families in case of the worst.
This is why direct mail is the best for lead generation. You target the people who need your services and you get a high response rate. Not to mention a high conversion rate!
